ARV-0808-X-XX - All-Hydraulic ARV - Motion Compensation Valves

The 8" Anti-Recoil valve is typically used for controlling the movement of cylinders or other hydraulic equipment in two way. The first being proportionally throttling the flow of fluid across the valve. This functionality is typically used on offshore drilling platforms or similar that require control over the tensioning cylinders during events when the load is removed from the system. This includes planned and emergency(EDS) disconnect events.

The valve also provides an emergency function as a flow shut off valve. If the flow through the valve exceeds the setpoint, the valve will respond by closing off the flow to the equipment being used. Flow is typically stopped in less than 150ms. This functionality is often used to protect equipment and people on offshore drilling platforms in the event of a loss of load on the compensation cylinders.
